Administration of QPIR handed over to REPSA

After over a decade of service to the Queensland Real Estate Industry by the combined administration of QPIR by the Real Estate Employers Association (REEA) and the Property Sales Association of Qld (PSAQ) - now the Australian Property Services Association Queensland Branch (APSAQ) - administration of QPIR is now the responsibility of Real Estate Personnel Solutions Australia (REPSA).

The Committees of Management of both REEA and APSAQ unanimously resolved to hand over the administration,. as maintaining their roles was a financial burden to their respective underfunded, under supported organisations, and accepted the offer of REPSA to assume responsibility for maintaining the QPIR facility.

Administration of QPIR has many facets - registering agreements for agencies which choose to have a third party holding the "real" agreement; providing copies of registered agreements to requesting parties (upon verification that the requesting party is a party to the agreement); and providing advice on agreement content through phone enquiries.

It is important to note that QPIR staff cannot provide legal advice but can usually clarify provisions of the Real Estate Industry Award 2010. (see download below).

REPSA (www.repsa.com.au) is a premier Real Estate Employment Agreement provider, based in Queensland and catering for most agreement requirements nationally.

Compulsory agreement registration in QLD, NSW and SA ceased on the 31st December 2014. However, many agencies in QLD continue to use the QPIR facility as a safeguard for both employers and employees against "tampering" with their written agreements.
